Lidcombe Waratah FC invites all local residents to join up and play soccer in 2025. We are taking online registrations NOW!

Registering for soccer is simple, as everything is within your fingers’ reach.

First step

• Suppose you are eligible for the active kids’ voucher of $50.00. In that case, you can use this as part of the registration process, leaving you to pay the balance of the registration link provided below (please obtain the active kids’ voucher first before registering on the Play Football website) 

• Get your active kids registration completed to have your $50.00 discount voucher ready to register online. https://www.service.nsw.gov.au/transaction/apply-for-an-active-and-creative-kids-voucher

• Second step

• Joining the club is a matter of registration via the play football platform on the link.

You must create a parent’s account because the Child is a minor (under 18). You can then link your Child to your account. I have also attached a sample photo image required to be uploaded to your Child’s profile. Once you have registered, you must send two of the approved Identification documents as listed below via email sent to you once you have registered to confirm registration pending approval.

Soccer is the world game, and Lidcombe Waratah is your local family soccer club. We have teams for boys and girls [from Under 6 to Under 18] as well as for men and women. And our home ground is Coleman Park, Georges Ave, Lidcombe – so close. fees cover registration, insurance, ground fees, referees fees and affiliation fees – there are no weekly fees payable after you have registered. The main season consists of 18 rounds which are played between April and August. Training will commence in February. We also arrange some pre-season games in March to get the teams ready for the season.

New Players – Identification Requirements

New players must provide two of the approved identification documents listed below. A Club official must see and copy one of the approved forms of identification. You can email registrar.lidcombewaratah@gmail.com with your identification documents.

Approved original proof of age documentation for juniors;

• birth certificate or birth registration card
• Medicare Card
• Student Card
• citizenship papers
• current passport

Approved original proof of identity documentation for seniors;

• drivers licence
• Medicare Card
• Student Card if registered as a student.
• current passport

In addition to registering with the club, you may be eligible for the NSW Government grant Active Kids voucher, which you can use for your child’s registration fees. Essentially you will be able to deduct $50.00 from your child’s registration fees.

NOTE:  A family discount of $20.00 applies to the second and subsequent family members registering with the club. The family discount applies regardless of the age or division in which the additional family members play.  Players playing above their age group due to no team being entered in their age group will only pay the fee of their age group. However, a player choosing to play in an older age group when a team has been entered into their age group will pay the fee of the older age group.

A “NO PAY-NO PLAY” policy will cover all age groups.  This means that to play soccer, registration fees must be paid in full when registering.  For families experiencing financial difficulty, please contact one of the Club Officials so that we can discuss your situation.

How is my age group determined?

For those age groups preceded by the word “under”, your age is determined as your actual age in the current calendar year of registration. For example, if you turn 10 during the calendar year (1st January through 31st December), you are an “Under 10”.

For Over 35s, the opposite applies…you can only register (and play) on or after your 35th birthday.
